I don’t normally write reviews for apps, especially when they’re good, (because developers get cocky and then implement more paywalls, I hope that’s not the case here.) But this app? The free version works just wonders if you’re okay with an AI that gets its languages and accents confused (it’s a fun exercise for my brain to improve my Spanish from a thick french-accented AI, haha). This app is amazing for those who understand that practice and application of the targeted language is a more effective way to learn a language as opposed to memorizing syntax, grammar rules, and irrelevant vocabulary. This app allows me to personalize my experience while navigating a language. As a native English speaker, a Latina, this app will single handedly de-«no sabo» kid me. As someone who could previously not speak French, only read it, now I am speaking. I can’t wait until Portuguese is added. I absolutely can not wait. I anticipate accelerating to a level C1 of Spanish, Portuguese, and French through this app. This app is great news for polyglots and those aspiring to be polyglots.

I lose my Spanish by not having people to talk to, and when I’m traveling, it slowly comes back. Even just using the free talk option is bringing words and grammar to front of mind. The ai companion corrects your grammar but in a way that doesn’t break from the conversation. For example, it’ll repeat you but say the better way of discussing things while also teaching you additional words. «My dog likes to swim in the beach.» «I see your pet enjoys swimming in the sea.»

I really like this App. But it doesn’t have roles for seniors. I still deciding whether to purchase the subscription or not. I wish they would include maybe Biblical discussions with the AI Tutor. Nothing deep — such as a little reading from the Book of Psalms to discuss, or stories in The Bible, for those of us who are retired. Of course, I have downloaded Spanish Bibles, but to be able to discuss it a little with an AI Tutor. Also, most seniors get their SS Retirement in the middle of the month. We are on a fixed income and generally cannot make purchases until then. I really like it and may get it in the middle of next month.

This takes learning a new language to a whole new level all those other apps either make it boring or don’t teach well this increases engagement and makes me feel like I’m actually talking to a live tutor and I like being able to ask questions and do exercises and the accent is helpful and when it corrects you and hears all the accent mistakes I love.
Repetition, is the path to mastery.

What is this application about? Simply having lessons of the language you need to learn, with an AI teacher. You can write or talk, writing is kind of easy, and talking is a bit more challenging... you can learn from different level of mastery. In my case, I can learn more vocabulary in English where I have a great experience practicing, it can adapt to my schoolish spanish or my absence of knowledge in German. It have a paywall. But it’s worth it.

I’m giving this a good review because usually I have a hard time sticking to apps but since it uses AI it’s able to correct you and actually show you how to pronounce thanks it’s like a little virtual lesson. It allows you to also like ask questions and I think that’s very cool... I’ve used many language apps, but this is definitely one of my favorite. I definitely think you should invest a little bit of money into it.

It’s so much interesting and useful. Teachers are kind, awesome, joyful helping and kind nature person. It’s almost free app. Praktika will teach you how to say, what mistakes you are doing they will correct you, you can see your progress just in 1 week, it’s very good app. Here you have so many teachers with so much good qualities, their behaviour is polite. Is Praktika a good app to learn French from zero?

Yes. Praktika is an app to learn French through conversation, and complete beginners get explanations in English from the first lesson.

As your level grows, your tutor uses more French. The setup quiz places you between A1 and C2, so your plan starts where you are.

Is French hard to learn?

French is one of the easier languages for English speakers. Thousands of words look familiar, like restaurant or important. The US Foreign Service Institute puts French in its easiest group, at about 24 to 30 weeks of full-time study.

The tricky parts are pronunciation, with its silent letters and nasal vowels, and remembering whether a noun is le or la. With Praktika you say them out loud and get corrected in the moment, which is how they start to stick.

How long does it take to learn French with Praktika?

It depends on how often you practice. On average, 73% of active learners gain a full CEFR level in about 20 hours of practice, and your own pace may differ.
